Religious Education

The Religious Education SCITT Subject Course provides you with everything you need to know in order to become an outstanding practitioner. Our course will take you through the aims of the RE National Curriculum and will demonstrate to you how these are implemented into everyday teaching. The course will guide you to reflect on key topics in RE teaching as well as how to create a love for learning and instil a passion for RE in your students. The course will inspire you by allowing you to observe and analyse best practice across the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 National Curriculum. Additionally, you will observe and learn from outstanding practitioners in RE.

My subject studies lessons were always directly related to my experiences as a trainee in the department. When I required help on differentiation we worked on differentiation, when we were all concerned about AFL the lesson was crafted around AFL. The content was consistently versatile and relevant and we drew from a range of sources like recent educational data, educational video clips as well as drew material from web sites like the RSC.
